Leeds Golf Design carried out the independent GEO Foundation verification process for Golf della Montecchia in 2023 as part of the club’s successful renewal of its GEO Certified® sustainability status.
Located within the Euganean Hills Regional Park, Golf della Montecchia is recognised internationally for its long-standing commitment to sustainability, biodiversity enhancement and environmentally responsible golf course management. The club has implemented extensive ecological management practices including habitat protection, integrated water management, reduction of chemical inputs and active enhancement of native flora and fauna across the property.
The club is also well known for hosting the international “Venice Open” and the “Venice Open for Children” every summer, combining championship golf with strong environmental and community engagement initiatives linked to the promotion of sustainable golf.
Following the previous successful certification, Leeds Golf Design were appointed again in April 2026 to carry out the new GEO verification process for the facility, with the renewal process currently ongoing.
