Leeds Golf Design were appointed in April 2026 to prepare a cart path review and masterplan for the Red Course at Golf Club Padova, one of Italy’s most historic and prestigious golf clubs, located within the landscape of the Euganean Hills Regional Park.
The project focused on improving the overall safety, accessibility and year-round usability of the course through the creation of a new functional cart path loop designed to provide more fluid and intuitive circulation for golfers and maintenance vehicles.
Particular attention was dedicated to safety analysis and the integration of the routes within the existing playing corridors in order to minimise interference with play whilst improving visibility and user comfort throughout the course.
Strong emphasis was also placed on landscape integration and sustainability. The proposed paths were carefully designed to follow the natural topography of the site with soft flowing lines and a discreet visual appearance intended to blend naturally into the surrounding golf landscape and the sensitive environmental setting of the Euganean Hills.
The proposals aimed to minimise disturbance to existing vegetation, reduce environmental impact and improve the long-term functionality and maintainability of the golf course infrastructure.
