Leeds Golf Design have been working with Cirencester Golf Club since 2020, when a long-term masterplan was produced for the historic James Braid designed golf course.
The renovation programme focuses on strategic golf course improvements, sustainability and landscape enhancement while respecting the traditional character of the course and its natural setting. The works have included bunker renovations, ecological enhancement, woodland and roughland management, improved course presentation and strategic playing improvements aimed at strengthening the golfing experience whilst enhancing the environmental value of the site.
The renovation programme is being carried out in phases over a ten-year period, with the club currently approximately halfway through the implementation works and Phase 5 successfully completed during winter 2025/26. The project was recently featured by Golf Course Architecture Magazine following the completion of the latest works.
Sustainability and environmental stewardship have formed a central part of the project philosophy and contributed to Leeds Golf Design being recognised through the EIGCA Sustainable Design Leader programme.
