Leeds Golf Design is proud to announce that Director Giulia Ferroni successfully completed The R&A Women in Golf Leadership Development Programme in 2024.

The programme, developed by The R&A, supports and promotes female leadership within the golf industry, bringing together professionals from across different sectors of the game to develop leadership skills, industry knowledge and professional networks.

Participation in the programme reflects Leeds Golf Design’s ongoing commitment to professional development, innovation and the future growth of golf through inclusive and forward-thinking leadership.

As a golf course architect and sustainability-focused designer, Giulia continues to combine practical greenkeeping and playing experience with ecological and strategic golf course design across projects in the UK and Europe.

This achievement further strengthens Leeds Golf Design’s commitment to contributing positively to the future of golf and the wider industry.

Giulia Ferroni is the founder of Leeds Golf Design, leading the team from the firm’s Oxford base and coordinating its other offices. She established LGD after many years at Hawtree Ltd, a three-generation company that has led golf course architecture for more than a century. Her expertise spans the UK, France, Belgium, Holland, Ireland and Italy, working on new projects as well as the renovation of some of England’s finest golf courses and Open Championship venues.
