About us
Meet the team
We are a team of enthusiastic golf course architects with backgrounds in architecture, civil engineer, professional golf, geology, land survey and economics.
Giulia Ferroni is a golf course architect associate at Leeds Golf Design. She leads the team from our Oxford base and coordinates the other offices.
She established LGD after many years of experience at Hawtree Ltd, a three-generation company leader in golf course architecture for more than a century.
Her expertise has been built working in the UK, France, Belgium, Holland, Ireland and Italy, on new projects and the renovation of some of the finest English golf courses and Open championship courses.

Our vision
Introducing our unique 'Acupuncture' approach
We strongly support an acupuncture-like approach, in which earthworks are kept to the very minimum.
By focusing renovation works on selected targets, we aim to create the maximum benefit with the smallest effort, the minimum golf course/landscape disturbance and lower costs.
Too often these days, architects concentrate on unnecessary earth movements or too big work areas rather than on the fine details that really make a difference, such as around greens and bunkers.
Our awareness campaign
